Clouds Illusion
This mixed media work transforms two photographs of clouds into a woven tapestry of atmosphere and perception. By slicing and interlacing the images, I disrupt the illusion of a singular sky, creating a layered surface that invites viewers to question what is real, remembered, or imagined.

Clouds have long served as symbols of impermanence, transformation, and emotional nuance. They drift between presence and absence, forming and dissolving in cycles that mirror human thought and feeling. In this piece, clouds represent the instability of memory and the fluidity of identity—how we are shaped by what we forget as much as by what we recall. Their softness contrasts with the sharpness of the weave, suggesting the tension between chaos and control, nature and intervention.

The act of weaving—a gesture of care, repetition, and labor—transforms the sky into something intimate and tactile. It echoes the way we stitch together our experiences, threading emotion through memory, and structure through uncertainty. Clouds Illusion invites viewers to linger in the liminal space between clarity and imagination, where the atmosphere becomes a metaphor for the self: ever shifting, layered, and unresolved.

Plan to see them this November at Arts Connect Open Studio and 3x33 @ LuigART Event Gallery
