“Garden Quilts & Garden Grids"
a contemporary twist to a traditional design
a kaleidoscopic vision of a pink hibiscus from bud to blossom.
Photographed in a studio setting, warped and posterized in post-production and archivally printed on paper painted with a textured acrylic. The quilt is composed of 9 squares mounted on cradle board. As all quilts have a border this one is composed of a ribbon of hibiscus buds.
“Orchid Grid” is a modular grid made up of six 12”x12” squares.
A study of pattern and color that frames itself in the Art Nouveau style.
The orchid was photographed in a studio setting, warped and posterized in post-production and printed on paper painted with a textured acrylic. Each square has up to three images wrapped in various depths and mounted on a patterned background. The finished squares can hang horizontally or vertically in a variety of combinations. POR
