Hall, Kathy Rees Johnson, Marco Logsdon, Mary Rezny, Michael Wayne, Carleton Wing, Laverne Zabielski	“Reliquary – Art Contains the Past” Exhibit on view: October 29th- November 30th, 2019 Using a similar color palette and wide range of found materials each artist creates a container for the past. Exhibited together these assemblages of fiber and metal are a stark contrast in textures and forms.	"Aftermath" Melissa T. Hall September 10th - October 12th , 2019 Hall’s photographs are mired in her experience of personal loss and her own substantial brush with mortality.

"Interludes" art inspired by music Oct 9th- November 16th by Chris Brannock. Mary Louise Dean, Kathy Rees Johnson and Patrick McNeese A range of media and supports are on display in these creations at the intersection of art and music. Each artist allows music to influence the form, textures and color in their paintings but their diverse affinities for music makes an intriguing mix.	"Continuums" Sept.11th- October 6th Paintings by Marco Logsdon, Photography by Michael Wayne Both artists work within their respective mediums to create the idea of sequence in any given piece. Logsdon’s abstract works use color, geometric patterns, and joined shapes where one form moves into the other. Wayne seeks to capture mundane fleeting moments with his camera.	“Paper Works-” July 24- Aug 31 “Paper Works-works on paper”-finalist in the national juried art competition From over 400 artworks, Juror Doug Stapeleton chose 26 for the exhibit. click for link
"Tightly Bound"- June 5- July 20, 2018 Asking six fiber artists to interpret “Tightly Bound” as technique or narrative. Exhibiting artists include Dobree Adams, Jan Durham, Nicolette Lim, Arturo Alonzo Sandoval, April Wright, and Laverne Zabielski	“Sharing Time and Space” April 10th – May 26th, 2018 The contrasting styles of primitive sculptures, drawings and paintings by Paolo Dal Prá will be displayed along with the detail oriented secular mandalas by Carleton Wing.	Art as Life Partner-Jaqui Linder February 27th – March 31st, 2018 Jaqui Linder, a 2017 Kentucky Foundation for Women grant recipient, is a self-taught multi-media artist and writer. This exhibit is a debut of 14 of her major artworks and the stories behind them. The process of making things, and learning how on her own, has been for her a reliable vehicle for self-study and self-healing and a “powerful way to vent, teach, celebrate, and love.”
“Homage to Remnants” -an assemblage invitational January 9th – February 17th , 2018 Assemblage is art that is made by assembling disparate elements, often everyday objects, scavenged by the artist or purchased specifically. Assemblage artists are fascinated with discarded and abandoned things, making artistic compositions using all kinds of found materials and objects. notBIG (4) - The Exhibit the finalists in the national small arts juried competition. There was no intended theme for this art competition; the only requirement is that the artwork had to be 12”x12” or smaller, including the frame. artists from 32 states submitted 440 artworks for consideration	Aggressively Fragile-Melissa Hall A conceptual photographer, Melissa used her artwork to explore the emotional highs and lows when facing mortality. “Examining my thoughts as artistic concepts has made them more objective and helped to remove the fear from them.” Melissa begins with a photograph but then will add encaustic medium and assemblages to expand the image. She starts with an elaborate photo shoot that involves unique locations, models, costumes and props	“Connections- Fibers, Filaments and The Fiber Guild of Lexington May 2nd- June 3rd, 2017 Eighteen members of the Fiber Guild of Lexington have collaborated in a colorful display of fiber art. The artwork in this exhibit is as varied and diverse as the members of the organization, incorporating a visual array of styles and techniques. Members work in both traditional and non-traditional fiber techniques and often combine both.
Harmony ML Dean and KR Johnson February 28th – March 31st, 2017 The pairing of artwork from these two artists creates a pleasing effect of colors, textures and subjects, a unique harmony	en-sem-ble the Layering of Color January 10th – February 11th , 2017 Five Kentucky artists explore different mediums and the use of layering color. Working within a similar palette these combined artworks create an “ensemble”. The color in this artwork is luscious, rhythmic, assured and confidant, color that demands attention. Paintings and prints by Dalphna Donnelly, Ellen Glasgow and Philip High…textiles by Laverne Zabielski and Polly Singer. "Subjective Neutrality" October 18th-November 19th 2016 Marco Logsdon brings his non-objective, abstract style of painting or “Neutrality” to a personal exploration or “Subjective” study of his grandmother’s quilts. Using only oil, tar and beeswax, each painting in this exhibit is an isolated block pattern that is found repeated in a quilt. The size of the individual block varies from 12x12” to 48X48” making the materials dominate the subjective selection of the block pattern.	“Tactile Expressions” Touchable mixed media exhibit by Jan Durham On view- August 30th – September 30th , 2016 Adapting to the change of gradually losing her eyesight mixed media artist, Jan Durham, is attracted to the tactile components of working with wool and wax. She has created artwork that has both a tactile and visual appeal. In this exhibit all are encouraged to touch the art.	Firmly Rooted 2016 Firmly Rooted 2016 the exhibit, addressing our ongoing symbiotic relationships with plants Exhibition Dates: July 12th – August 20th, 2016 M S Rezny Studio/Gallery is pleased to announce the finals in the national juried art competition Firmly Rooted 2016. Artists from 28 states submitted over 290 artworks of botanical interpretations in a variety of mediums. “Pencil & Paper” “Pencil & Paper” with Lucinda A. Chapman, Ed Franklin, Mike Goodlett, Hui Chan invitational exhibit high lighting the process of creating artwork within the limits of the media: pencil and paper. The artists exhibit works where pencil (graphic or color) and paper account for the greatest percentage of the finished piece. For these artists drawing is the basic line of expression. Their drawings in a wide range of subjects are linear description with a rich range of tones, textures, and shapes.	“Con Form” B.F.A. Renegade Chroma “Renegade Chroma” a uniquely colorful exhibit of sensory imagery. By definition “Renegade Chroma” (a noun) is the juxtaposition between vibrant, dynamic, color and darker, macabre, or creepy content and imagery. In this exhibit it is defined as what happens when Lennon Michalski, Staci McKnight Maney, Crimson Duvall, and Laurie Appleby-Williams Exhibit on view: February 23rd- March 26th, 2016	Turn Up the Heat An encaustic invitational January 12th- February 20th, 2016 Historically encaustic painting involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. Mixed media artists Debbie Jackson Billips, Melissa T. Hall, Michelle Hayden, Trish Korte, Bridgette Guerzon Mills and Raymond Papka have discovered that encaustic is a much more versatile medium that allows them to create depth in layers and serves as a means for further exploration in both form and meaning. Dress-UP “Dress-up” contemporary interpretations in fiber, paint and photographs. Exhibit on view: September 15th – October 24th, 2015 Artist Reception, September 18th , 5-8pm, 2015 Five artists, Laverne Zabielski, Ashley Howell, Melissa T. Hall, Marta Dorton and Ellen Skidmore, working in different mediums frequently use the symbol of a dress within their artwork. Each artist has a different interpretation of what role the dress plays in their artwork. Talismans Talismans” Bead Jewelry and Artifacts as Power Objects by Kathleen O’Brien March 17th – April 18th , Artist Reception March 20th,5 p.m., 2015 Talismans is an exhibit of bead jewelry and beaded mixed media artifacts. Whether worn on the body, or displayed on the wall these talismans were created as power objects that exude energy and prayers for healing, good luck and protection.	Lens-Less “Lens-Less” alternative captivating photography Kevin Griggs, Darrell Kincer, Nadezda Nikolava, Mary Rezny Exhibit: January 13th – February 28th, Artist Reception January 16th, 2015 Workshops: Saturday January 17th & Saturday January 31st, 2015 Each of these photographers uses different photographic techniques to create photographs without the use of a lens. These images are an exploration of 19th century photographic technology with a 21st century vision.
